Color change

If your drawings have changed from the "ByLayer" color to a single color, this is the way to change it back.

Below, the first picture shows a shop drawing where "ByLayer" is chosen and the next one is a picture where the layer "Cyan" is chosen.

The first thing that needs to be checked is the profile settings in the options. Type "Options" in AutoCAD and go to Profiles and select AutoCAD -> Set Current -> OK.

Below is an instruction on how to change this. After the instruction, there is a GIF attached for easier understanding of the process.

  1. When this is done, type "CUI" and on the left side under Customizations in All Fields go to ACAD -> Workspaces -> Drafting & Annotation Default (current)

  2.  Next, navigate to the right side and click on Customize Workspace.

  3. Navigate to the left side and go to ACAD -> Toolbars -> Properties and tick it and click on OK.

  4. Now change the color from Cyan to ByLayer in the first box (Color Control).

  5. Lastly, if you are in a shop drawing, then you need to proceed to the Element tab and redraw the element by clicking on Draw Element.

When this is done, the shop drawing will show the correct colors again.
