Mattias Hansen 29.1 7 Tender is a tool for rough-rough planning, It determines if you have the capacity to start a new project and finish it before a specified date or to let you know when it can be finished given a specified pace. This is done by setting up different production groups with different capacities during different weeks. Then product quantities are created, each Tender product has paces connecting to them. The capacity and workload can then be viewed on a bar chart.

Mattias Hansen 3.2 9 = Settings =
Mattias Hansen 29.1 11 Under the settings tab in IMPACT Tender, you will need to configure all of your production groups and map them together with element types or element groups depending on what is set under "Product Classification". To make any changes to settings the user needs "Company Settings" user rights.
Mattias Hansen 11.4 12
Mattias Hansen 29.3 13 == Company Node ==
15 On the top node of the tree, to the right of the application under settings, just above classification, you can enter a "Min Probability Level". This is a percentage number of how much probability is at least required for a tender product to show up on the workload chart.
Mattias Hansen 3.3 17 == Product Classification ==
Mattias Hansen 29.2 19 Under "Product Classification", the user chooses to use "Element Type", "Element Group", or Element Product. This choice affects the mapping of production groups. It is also possible to use two parameters (Area, Mass, Piece, Volume, and Time) for production groups.
Mattias Hansen 11.4 20
Mattias Hansen 3.3 21 == Production Groups ==
Mattias Hansen 29.1 23 When creating a production group the user needs to give it a name and a parameter (area, mass, length, piece, volume), the description is optional. To each production group, capacity can be added. When adding a capacity you need to select a start and an end week for the given period the capacity is valid. Periods cannot overlap with each other unless they use a different factory. Description and factory are optional, the factory is by default set to none.
Mattias Hansen 11.5 24
Mattias Hansen 12.7 25 Production groups are used under "Project Quantities" and must be selected under the Workload's filter.
Mattias Hansen 12.3 26
Mattias Hansen 3.3 27 == Mapping ==
Mattias Hansen 11.5 29 Here you map together element types or element groups dependent upon chosen "Product Classification". Under the column "Name" you can see all the element types/groups. One element type/group and only mapped with one production group, but a production group can be mapped with many element types/groups.
Mattias Hansen 12.5 31 Mapping is used to display correct information about fine planning and rough planning under "Workload".

Mattias Hansen 3.2 42 = Project Quantities =
Mattias Hansen 29.1 44 Under "Project Quantities" you will need to open a project, add products to that project, and input the quantity for each product. The given input here will be used when you are looking at the workload.
Mattias Hansen 12.11 45
Mattias Hansen 15.1 46 == Project ==
Mattias Hansen 28.1 48 In Tender you can create new projects, these projects are prephased projects with limited input. Unlike Project Manager, in Tender, you can only choose which standard to use and what name, title, and description the project should have.
Mattias Hansen 15.1 49
50 As Tender only works with prephased projects, you can only open projects of type "Prephase". When opening a project it will be saved as a recent project and can easily be opened again by going to "Recent Projects".
Mattias Hansen 3.3 52 == Tender Products ==
Mattias Hansen 29.4 54 When adding a product you will need to give the product a name and set the quantity for that product, select a production group that is to work on the product and select a calculation method. The parameter is set based on the selected production group, which is set under Settings - Production Groups. Color is used to easily set which product is displayed under Workload. The calculation method is used in order to determine the working pace or when the product can be finished or when it needs to start, depending on the selected calculation method.

Mattias Hansen 25.1 64 Below are the calculation methods described:
Mattias Hansen 12.11 65
Mattias Hansen 12.15 66 * Manual, the user gets no help and will have to calculate by them selfs
Mattias Hansen 12.11 67 * Start Date - End Date, will calculate the required working pace
68 * Start Date - Pace, will calculate when the product can be finished
69 * Pace - End Date, will calculate when the production group must start

Mattias Hansen 3.3 79 === Paces ===
Mattias Hansen 29.1 81 When viewing and editing "Paces" there are five columns, Star Period, End Period, Weekly Pace, Factory, and Description. "Start Period" is not editable when calculating using "Pace - End Date" as the product's calculation method. When using "Start Date - Pace" the column "End Date" will not be editable. The "Pace" column is not editable when the calculation method is set to "Start Date - End Date".
Mattias Hansen 12.13 82
Mattias Hansen 3.3 83 === Import Product ===
Mattias Hansen 12.21 85 If the project already has products you can import them into Tender. When clicking on "Import..." a dialog will come up and display all the available elements types in the project and the total area, mass, and volume of all the elements of that element type. It also displays how many elements there are of that element type belonging to this project.
Mattias Hansen 12.20 86
Mattias Hansen 3.2 87 = Workload =
Mattias Hansen 3.3 88
Mattias Hansen 12.22 89 To view the workload there is a bar chart and a filter. The filter is used to view specified data, some information is required in the filter to view the workload.
Mattias Hansen 3.3 91 == Filter ==
Mattias Hansen 29.4 93 Under the Workload's filter, the user has to select the period to view in the bar chart. The period is weekly, based on a start week and end week that the user wants to view. The production groups that they want to view is also required. Optional is to select projects, project types, and factories, but not selecting a project will mean you will only be able to view fine planning and rough planning on the bar chart.
Mattias Hansen 12.22 94
Mattias Hansen 30.2 95 When selecting production groups all production groups parameters that these production groups have will become available. When changing this parameter you might notice that the background color for the chosen production groups changes. The orange color indicates that the production group will be filtered out, this is because it doesn't have the selected production group parameter. Green means they will be included and shown on the chart.

Mattias Hansen 30.2 104
105 Projects are displayed in a similar manner, if they don't belong to the selected project group, they will also get an orange background, meaning they will be filtered out and not appear in the chart.
Mattias Hansen 12.22 107 All input in the filter will be saved when closing Tender and retrieved the next time the same user starts up Tender.
Mattias Hansen 4.2 109 == Bar Chart ==
Mattias Hansen 12.23 110
Mattias Hansen 30.4 111 The bar chart lets you view the workload of fine planning, rough planning, and the planning that has been done in Tender belonging to the selected production group chosen in the filter. The x-axis displays time and the y-axis represents the parameter that is connected to the given production group in the filter. This is the production group parameter that is chosen in the filter (area, time, mass, piece, or volume).
Mattias Hansen 13.2 112
Mattias Hansen 16.1 113 The red line on the chart displays capacity. Remember that the capacity is affected by both the selected production groups and factories in the filter. And keep in mind that capacity in Tender is not the same as the capacities in Resource Manager, only Tender's capacities will appear in Tender.
