Balloon notifications

Balloon notifications are shown when opening a drawing that needs to be updated, the balloon also contains a short cut to the appropriate command, “Update Plan”, “Update Elevation” etc to update the drawing.

Individual notifications are controlled by variables in Standard Admin where the value of the variable controls how the user is notified:

0 - Off

1 - The notification is written in AutoCAD’s text window. New in (Q4/2024)

2 - The notification is displayed as a balloon notification in AutoCAD’s Tray bar.

3 - The notification is displayed in a dialog box.

New in (Q4/2024) Note: For nr 1 to work the setting "Hide notifications" needs to be ticked in Server Connect. This will allow AutoCAD to write out the message in the command box.

The following variables/notifications are implemented:

NOTIFICATIONSHOPDRAWINGNOTUPDATED:

This is fired when opening a shop drawing that isn’t updated, the possibility to call “Generate element”, the default value is 2.

NOTIFICATIONMODELDRAWINGNOTUPDATED

This notification is fired when opening a plan/elevation drawing that isn’t updated, the possibility to call “Update Plan” or “Update Elevation”, the default value is 2.

NOTIFICATIONLIFTBYUSERWALL

This notification is fired when the user answer yes to “Update lift” and a wall has a lift set to “By user”, default 0.

NOTIFICATIONELEMENTSNOTEDITABLE

This notification is fired when the user tries to edit elements that are locked/frozen or not updated, default 2. Currently not visible in Standard Admin.

NOTIFICATIONNOVALIDELEMENTSSELECTED

This notification is fired when the selection set selected by the user doesn’t contain any elements that are editable, default 2. Currently not visible in Standard Admin.
