Possibilities to use side lifts in slab.

There is a new tab in the slab properties called "Lift side".

There you can see the geometry of the slab such as Length, Width (incl. tol.), Height, and Mass. When you first take a look at this without drawing any slab the length and the mass is 0. If you edit an already drawn slab all four fields will be filled as in the example above.

Below the geometry dialog, you have two more dialogs, one for "Lift side 1" and one for "Lift side 2". These two are identical and have the same five fields that can be selected which are presented below.

  • Lift selection: Definition or User defined. If you have Definition selected and the mass of the slab exceeds the capacity of the lift then a message will be written out and no lift will be added. An example of a message could look like this: "No lift with type 60 and capacity of 10.111 specified in definition SS19". If you select User defined then you can select from several types of lifts but these must also be able to lift the slab.
  • Lift table
The values for the lifts are collected from the definitions lift table for two lifts.

  • Lift type: This is defined in the slab definition in the Lifting tab. Here you write in what type, name, and max mass (t) the different lifts can lift.
  • Side: There are five options here: Left, Right, Front, Back, and None. If any of the four first alternatives are selected then lifts are placed in pairs of two on the desired side.

  • Lift capacity: You can choose 50 % or 100 % here. If you choose 50 % then the selected lift needs to be able to lift 50 % of the slabs weight. If you choose 100 % then the lift needs to be able to lift 100 % of the slabs weight.

  • Name: This field is grayed out if you select lift selection - definition. If you select lift selection - User defined then you can select which specific lift you want to have. The available lifts are the ones that are defined in the slab definition - lifting tab. The lifts shown are the only lifts that can handle the weight.
