The command Draw Weep Holes can be found on both the plan and element tab.

First, an example of the settings will be presented below.

There’s a new page in the hollow core definition’s properties dialog that lets you specify rules for the placing of weep holes.

The weep holes are divided into three categories “Edge”, “Recess” and “Core filling”.

Category “Edge” allows you to specify what kind of hole and the placing from the left/right edge of the hollow core element, for short elements you can specify a minimum length where the weep holes a placed in the middle of each core instead of at the edge.

Category “Recess” consists of a set of rules for placing weep holes next to recesses, you can specify properties for recesses close to the left/right edges (“2”) as well as for recesses further inside the element (“1”). Note only recesses that open the core in the top are handled.

Category “Core filling” consists of a set of rules for placing weep holes next to core fillings, you can specify properties for core fillings close to the left/right edges (“2”) as well as for core fillings further inside the element (“1”).

Finally, you can specify a minimum distance between two weep holes in the same core if weep holes are placed closer than this distance they are replaced with one weep hole in the middle of them.

If the rules apply to more than one hollow core definition it’s easy to copy them by using the button “Export…”

After setting up the rules in the definitions, you’re ready to add them with the new command found in the ribbons “Plan” and “Element”:

Note, weep holes will only be added to complete cores in narrow elements.
