Section Definitions

To be able to draw Prestressed Slabs, one need to create definitions to use. Below is a guide on how to set up this definition. 

Start with launching the command Section Definitions.

Create a new definition at any level.

  1. Section preview 
  2. Hight
  3. Width (incl. tol.) - actual element width plus the tolerance
  4. Tolerance - the distance between the actual element and the element boundary

  1. Diff. bottom top

  1. Endcap - default endcap for the definition
  2. Material
  3. Production line - which predefined production line will elements with this definition be used for
  4. Section geometry - mostly used for detailed sections 

Select Strands in the Section preview area is used when one want to select blocks for the strands.

  1. Strand groups - different groups for different strands
  2. Strand positions - added manually or automatically by using Select Strands

  1. Strandpatterns - one definition can have several strand patterns. Here the user adds a new strand pattern and specifies which strands that should be included by thickening the boxes in Strand positions (14 in Figure 5). Here one can also specify which strandpattern that should be the default
  2. Strand group properties - diameter, steel quality and prestress value for the Strand group
  3. Strand Positions- select which strands that should be included in a strand group by thickening the boxes for each strand

  1. Add lift - if the lifts should be added always or manually
  2. Rotation - if the lifts should be rotated
  3. Min width four lift points
  4. Default type - which default lift type should be used. Lift type is basically a category of lift. In this example Lift type is different lifting angles
  5. Number of lifting points
  6. Lift set up - here, one will specify all the possible lifts for the definition depending on mass and lift type
  7. Placing long side
  8. Placing short side 

The Drawing tab contains settings for the section view in the shop drawing.

  1. Presentation - only used for Hollow Cores
  2. Scale - of the section on the shop drawing
  3. Dimension strand groups
  4. Text strand group properties

  1. Group - possibility to subcategorize elements of one element type
  2. Product
  3. Prefix designation
  4. Prefix element mark
  5. Prefix drawing name
  6. Drawing type
  7. Drawing template - default template that should be used
