IMPACT Revit version 15.0.018 

The user is able to make project settings for the annotation text of CIM families in shop drawings.

IMPACT can show the CIM family name/type, the CIM description or the CIM reference, depending on the user´s needs and set up in the CIM family. See the picture below, where the CIM Family name/type is shown in the annotation text.

The user is able to make CIM annotation text settings on a project level from Project Manager.

Open the IMPACT project in Project Manager and go to Project Properties -> Drawings -> Dimension. The three poject settings, marked on the picture below, will connect with the CIM family in order to show the desired annotation text in the shop drawing. Read further in the article how to activate each one of the following CIM annotation settings.

Show CIM name in annotation text

If the user would like to show the CIM family name or family type in the annotation text, then set ´´Show cast in material name in annotation text´´ settting to Yes, as shown on the picture below.

Once the Shop Drawing is generated, the CIM family name/type will be shown in the annotation text. If the CIM family does not contain types, the CIM family name will be shown. In case that severel family types are available in the CIM family, the name of the respective family type will be shown in the annotation text.

Show CIM description in annotation text

If the user would like to show a description of the CIM family in the annotation text, then set ´´Show cast in material description in annotation text´´ settting to Yes, as shown on the picture below. This setting connects to a family parameter, called IMPACT CIM Description.

Once the Shop Drawing is generated, the IMPACT CIM Description parameter will be shown in the annotation text.

Show CIM reference in annotation text

If the user would like to show a reference of the CIM family in the annotation text, then set ´´Show cast in material reference in annotation text´´ settting to Yes. Once the Shop Drawing is generated, the IMPACT CIM Reference parameter will be shown in the annotation text.
