Import & export endcap

IMPACT Revit version 15.0.010

It is possible to import & export between Common, Local project level in IMPACT Revit. Moreover, endcap definitions, created in IMPACT AutoCAD can be imported and reused in IMPACT Revit projects.  

Import & export endcap from IMPACT database

Endcaps can be imported & exported from the IMPACT database into your IMPACT Revit project. The user needs to open the wall falling menu and press on Wall Endcaps. Afterwards choose Import/Export button and a new dialog window opens up. The user can choose between 

  • Database:    Endcaps in IMPACT database. 
  • Revit:           Endcap defitnitions in IMPACT Revit standard folder.

Once you press on Database, all available endcaps in your IMPACT database will be shown. For instance, this could be endcaps that have been created in IMPACT AutoCAD and now the user have a possibility to import in the IMPACT Revit project. This would save time, because the user would not need to create the endcap definition again. 

Select endcap definition from the list and press on Import, as shown in the video below. The endcap defitnition is now imported in your IMPACT Revit project and you can apply it to the wall elements in your project.

Import & export endcap from Revit

The user can import & export endcap defitnitions between Common, Local and Project level. All combinations are possible. The user needs to follow the same steps as described above, but select Revit instead of Database. This would mean that a list of endcap defintiions from the IMPACT Revit standard folder would be shown.
