IMPACT Revit 15.0.010

Introduction

Ribbon customisation feature has been created with the purpose to allow users to manage the menu commands by project needs. For example, if the project contains only Structural Framing elements like Columns and Beams, unnecessary commands like walls, formslabs can be removed by configuration. The feature also provides users with the flexibility to create new Tabs, Panels and Stacked Items or rename functions.

Configuration files can be saved and imported into the project at any time.

To start with, find the function under Project, which is called Ribbon Customisation.

The dialogue window is made of two sides - left side represents Ribbon customisation as it is, Right side displays all features available. To find the specific feature, "Filter" function can be used.

Any new forms of display should be added working on the left side. Structure is based on Tree-hierarchy system as follows: Tab - Panel - Display type - Functions.

Meaning that, if need Tab is about to be created, then right-click on the very first line in the tree-structure and select "New Tab", A new line appears called "IMPACT (1)", rename it by right -click and Rename function.

When Display types are added (Also using right click on the instances in Project-Tree), functions can be brought from the right side by simply dragging and dropping to the left.
