Face reference text is a function used for user-defined text marking of the CIM dimension lines and the six sides of the element. Face reference text settings can be found in IMPACT tab / Settings / Shop drawing.

Once the project is created, the user can enter values for marking the faces of the element (to the right) and the CIM that belong to those faces (to the left). Press OK and exit the Settings window, once you have set the Face Reference Text values.

It is possible to show Face marks on the plan drawing by selecting element sides under Plan. The user is able to activate/deactivate the viewing of Face Markers on the plan drawing at any time during the drawing process. The functionality is currently available for Column elements.

Notice, that this function requires FaceMarker family, placed in the IMPACT standard under Annotation folder.

The additional settings in the shop drawing template must be made in order to view face marks in the shop drawing. Open the shop drawing template and add the FaceMarker familiy in Dimension line setting to all the views where marking of the element sides is needed.  FaceMarker family can be found in … \IMPACT15\Standard\1101\1101\Revit\annotation\tags.
