The Bvbs export is an export that allows the users to send an abs file (text file) to a bar machine that will produce the reinforcement bars according to the data in the file.

Exporting the file can both be done from AutoCAD and from the Project Manager and is structured so each line contains the data of one bar.

The file contains the following data.

1) The BVBS version

2) Project Name

  • (@H indicates that it is the start of the "Header block")
  • ("j" indicates that it is the field for the Project Name)

3) Drawing Name (@r indicates that it is the field for the Drawing Name)

4) Drawing Index (@i indicates that it is the field for the Drawing Index)

5) Bar Mark / Reinforcement Group Name (@p indicates that it is the field for the Bar Mark / Reinforcement Group Name) (The Reinforcement Group name is dominant)

6) Bar Length (@l indicates that it is the field for the Bar Length)

7) Item Quantity (@n indicates that it is the field for the Item Quantity)

8) Weight per bar (@e indicates that it is the field for the Weight per bar)

9) Bar Dimension (@d indicates that it is the field for the Bar Dimension)

10) Steel Quality (@g indicates that it is the field for the Steel Quality)

11) Jig Radius (@s indicates that it is the field for the Jig Radius)

12) Designer of the bar (@v indicates that it is the field for the Designer of the bar)

13) Layer (@a indicates that it is the field for the Layer)

14) Bar Geometry

  • (@G indicates that it is the start of the "Header block")
  • ("l" indicates that it is the field for the length of the leg)
  • ("w" indicates that it is the field for the angle of the following bend)
  • ("c" indicates that it is the field for the length of the last leg)

BVBS export options in Project Properties

In the Project Properties is it possible to set different options for the Bvbs export.

Here is an explanation of the different settings for the Bvbs export.

BVBS

Save file location - Sets where the file should be saved - If "Fixed path" is selected will it refer to the "Fixed Path" under "General".

Subfolder - Sets the Subfolder that will be created if "Subfolder" is used under "Save File location"

Drawing Number - Renames the data field "Drawing Name" (3) in the BVBs file 

Naming of Files - Sets the name of the .abs file

Separate file per Diameter - Sets if there should be created a file for each bar diameter

Straight Bar Filter

Separate file for Straight bars with extension - Sets if the Straight bars should be separated into its own file and what extension the file name should have

Max. Length - Sets the Max. Length for the Straight bars that should be included in the file

Min. Length - Sets the Min. Length for the Straight bars that should be included in the file

Quality to Include - Sets the Quality(s) for the Straight bars that should be included in the file. Each Quality should be separated with an ;

Dimension to Include - Sets the Dimension(s) for the Straight bars that should be included in the file. Each Dimension should be separated with an ;

Stirrup Filter

Separate file for stirrup with extension - Sets if the Stirrups should be separated into its own file and what extension the file name should have

Max. Length - Sets the Max. Length for the Stirrups that should be included in the file

Min. Length - Sets the Min. Length for the Stirrups that should be included in the file

Quality to Include - Sets the Quality(s) for the Stirrups that should be included in the file. Each Quality should be separated with an ;

Dimension to Include - Sets the Dimension(s) for the Stirrups that should be included in the file. Each Dimension should be separated with an ;

Export BVBS

In the project manager "Expoort" is it possible to export the BVBs file. In here is it possible to set a selection of what should be exported. The file will be exported according to the settings in the Project Properties.
