PXML

The PXML data format is developed by the Progress Software Corporation. The PXML format enables 3D reinforcement to be exported from a CAD-program to a CAM process. IMPACT supports the PXML format and by setting up project properties, the automated generation of PXML files is enabled. The export of one or several PXML-files using the Project Manager does not generate any files but instead making a copy of existing PXML-files.

Auto-generation of PXML

If a user wants an automated generation of PXML files at the same time as shop drawings are created, this can be set up using Project Properties -> Reinforcement --> Save reinforcement to PXML file set til Yes, please see figure 1.

PXML save/export file settings

In order to save/export PXML files, settings can be made in Project properties -> ERP -> General and PXML, see figure 2.

There are a number of choices for both General ERP settings and PXML settings. For example, setting a specific file location is illustrated in Figure 3:
