Bars

Version 34.1 by Adam Carlson on 2019/03/06 10:32

Here you will find the commands to create and edit all types of bars. Here you will also find all commands for barmarks, shape codes, endmarks & endhooks.

Settings for bars

When you draw a bar and uses the commando draw bar, you can change all settings in the dialog box. Therefore you do not need to see what is written in the dialog for the settings before you use the commando.

Edit Bars

To run the command Edit Bars... you can either double click on a single bar or click the icon in the Bars section. The CC-distance can only be changed on one bar at a time. The diameter can be changed on multiple bars at the same time. The ribbon No of Bar will not show up when multiple bars are selected.

Graphic presentation of bars - views

The reinforcement can be seen from different views, regardless of whether you draw in plan or elevation. When drawing draws,
you must specify in which view they should be drawn. Six different views, or projections can be specified. In both dialog boxes
Draw Bar and Edit Bars the function is placed on the lower right side under the General tab.
The figure under shows how a bar with the shape code C looks in the different views.

Description of the different tabs

A brief overview of what the different tabs do.

General

Under this tab you specify all technical data such as steel quality, diameter, bending type, etc. Under Endhook 1 and Endhook 2 you specify how the reinforcement bar should be bent at the ends.

Below this tab, you can see the dimensions of the bar and you can also edit the dimensions. There is also a separate command button Measure Edit ... to the right. We will later in this article go through how to edit the measurements for a bar with Measure Edit ...

Measure Edit ... & Barmark

In the GIF below, the measurements are changed under the general tab. If you click on the arrow to the right you can pick on the drawing how long one side should be. You will also be able to choose the correction and round. The same can be configured from the Measure Edit menu.
A Barmark is a saved bar which you can use later with saved measurements and changes. Barmarks can be chosen by clicking the three dots to the right.

If you would enter a bar number that already exists or change data for an existing barmark then the program always ask you if you want to replace the
information.

Representation

Under this tab you choose how the bar should be presented graphically on your
drawing. A bend bar should diffrently in a section compared when it is drawn in a plan
drawing.

No of Bar

Under this tab you can select the number of bars, the CC-distance and distribution
length. You can do this in different ways.

There are seven different options for how the ratio between the number of bars, CC-
distance and the distribution length should be calculated;

Option 1: If you want to draw a bar with a known CC-distance line.
Option 2: If you want to draw a bar with an associative distribution line.
Option 3: If you want the number of bars to be calculated.
Option 4: If you want the CC-distance to be calculated.
Option 5: If you want the distribution length to be calculated.
Option 6: If the CC-distance is missing.
Option 7: If the bars are symmetrical.
