General Production Company Settings

IMPACT Resource Manager settings are vital in setting up and maintaining the company production settings and environment. Settings are divided into two sections (see figure 1).

The settings tab in the resource manager contains five separate tabs.

  • Properties
  • Invoice Address
  • Cost Estimation
  • Pallet
  • Automation

Properties tab:

Under the properties tab, there are four settings

  • General
  • Transport
  • Stack
  • Storage
  • Cast

Under the General tab, there are six possible settings:

  • Company Name
  • Date Format
  • Message Log Life Time
  • Drawing Planning
    • Set to Yes if you don’t want to allow users to set an element as ready for production when the drawing is still preliminary.
  • Open Drawings
    • Set to no if you don’t want the user to be able to open drawings from the Cast and Transport modules, otherwise; select the formats to be made available.
  • Company Range Separator
    • Specifies the separator that is to be used for element range searches.
  • Currency
    • Sets the text or symbol for the currency
  • Fine Planning Color
    • Sets the default color for fine planning in workload
  • Rough Planning Color
    • Sets the default color for rough planning in workload
  • Use Visual Stacker
    • Set if Visual Stacker should be used

Under the Transport tab, there are five settings (also see figure 4):

  • Delivery Planning
    • Set to ‘Yes’ in order to disable the users from settings the delivery time in the element ID grid
  • Match Transport Factory
    • Set to Yes if notify the user that they have planned transport at a factory different factory than manufacturing
  • Can Reverse Transport Status
    • Set to No to disable the user from reverse transport status
  • Max Transport Rows
    •  
  • Initialized Text Fields
    • Set to Yes if you want a to have field 1-4 in the next planned transport to be copied from the previously planned transport.

Under the Stack tab, there are two settings (also see figure 5):

Default Stack Status

Sets the default status of a stack, set to Preliminary or planned

Preliminary

  • Sets the default status of the stack to preliminary
  • When a stack is created and elements are placed on a stack, the preliminary delivery date will not be set on the elements
  • This enables the user to plan stacks ahead of time, wishing to set a preliminary delivery date

Planned

  • Sets the default status of the stack to planned
  • When a stack is created and elements are placed on a stack, the preliminary delivery date will be set on the elements
  • This should be used when a preliminary delivery date is to be set on the elements on a stack

Can Reverse Stack Status

  • It provides a possibility to disable the user from reversing the status of a stack, set to No to do so.

Under the Storage tab, there are two settings (also see figure 6):

  • Elements on Storage
    • For Produced but not delivered case, we retrieve produced elements with transport status not Delivered and delivery date less than or equal to the given storage date in the filter.
    • For Produced but not on waybill case, we retrieve produced elements with status not On WayBill/Delivered and load date less than or equal to given storage date in the filter.
  • Storage Location

    • This setting allows us to choose if produced elements can be stored in different factory than producing one.

Under the Cast tab, there are eight settings (also see figure 7):

  • Production Planning
    • Set to yes to disable the user from setting the production date in the element ID grid. This also requires an element to be in status-type produced in order for the user to set it as delivered.
  • No of Cast Report Pictures
    • The number of pictures that the form is divided into when printing a cast report with pictures.

And then there are the Mandatory Cast Planning Conditions settings:

  • Sales Project Name
    • Set to yes if cast/element status set to produced in not allowed
  • Price
    • Set to yes if cast/element status produced is to be disabled if the element price is missing
  • Time
    • Set to yes if cast/element status produced is to be disabled if element-time is missing
  • Mass
    • Set to yes if cast/element status produced is to be disabled if element mass is missing
  • Area
    • Set to yes if cast/element status produced is to be disabled if the element area is missing
  • Group
    • Set to yes if cast/element status produced is to be disabled if the element group is missing

Invoice Address



Pallet

Under the Pallet tab (see figure 8), there are two settings:

  • Production Stack Count
  • Production Stack Size

Under the automation tab (see figure 9), there are four drop-downs:

  • BVBS Settings
    • Save File Location
    • Subfolder
    • Drawing Number
    • Naming of files
  • PXML Settings
    • Save File Location

  • Unitechnik Settings
    • Original File Location
    • Save File Location
  • AX Settings
    • Save File Location
