Introduction
This block has the general information for a rectangular column in shop drawings.
In this article, you can read about how to set up this block and modify it to fit your companies needs.
The drawing types can both consist of specifications and attributes which will be presented more in-depth further down.
Setup in Standard Admin
Information about this block has to be set up partially in Standard Admin, these steps will be presented below:
Standard Admin -> Settings -> Common -> Drawings -> Drawing Types and then select the element type, in this case, rectangular column, right-click and select Properties.
Id and Name can be changed here or outside this dialog.
The Layout has three options to select from. The difference is how the tables look, for example, the double wall got a line that divides the two panels which the other elements do not have.
The three options are:
- Standard
- Double Wall
- Form Slab
The next six boxes which can be ticked decide if the tables should be included or not for this drawing type.
The first field, Block file name, is the name of the block, this name must be the same as the dwg located in template drawings (See chapter "Location")
The next two fields Block X & Block Y are the sizes of the block in x and y-direction.
Block justify decides where the insertion point should be, there are three options to select from. The standard justification is Top Right.
The three options are:
- Top right
- Top left
- Bottom right
Visible decides if the block should be visible or not. This should always be ticked if used.
Which Head file name should be used is decided here. The head file is always placed in the upper right corner of the drawing.
The last two fields Head X & Head Y are the sizes of the head file in x and y-direction.
