Drawings

In the previous chapter, we learned how the shop drawings works. In addition to shop drawings, we also need to prepare drawings for floor plans, elevations, 3D views, and other custom views.

Open a 3D or plan view.

Go to IMPACT - Drawings - Create Drawing to start the command.

The first step to do is selecting the correct view (2) to create the drawing for. If there are many views in the model, there is a filter (1) in the top. Select sheet (3) and eventual prefix (4). Specify if it's a floor plan, elevation, or other drawing (5). By doing this, the drawings will end up under the correct category in Project Manager (see Figure 2). The last thing to do is to specify building, floor, and phase (6). This applies for floor plans and elevations. The options will be greyed out for other drawings.

When the drawing is generated, the sheet is opened and the view is added.

Now it's time to make sure that the drawing looks like expected. Maybe dimensions, texts etc. needs to be added.

Revisions, Drawing Properties, and Creation of PDFs works the same as explained for shop drawings in the previous chapter.
