Add reinforcement

The next step is to add reinforcement. IMPACT doesn't have a specific tool to draw reinforcement to the elements, but the native Revit functionalities or third-party applications can be used. On the other hand, IMPACT does have tools to save and apply reinforcement that the user once has modeled. This tool will be used to add reinforcement to the beam.

Open the 3D view 'IMPACT Rebars'.

Go to IMPACT - Reinforcement - Apply Rebar Templates to start the command.

Select the beam template 'IT' and finish with 'OK'.

Navigate to the beam we just drew and apply the reinforcement by selecting the beam and ending the command with 'Finish'.

Now, the beam has some reinforcement. Later in the course, we'll learn how to configure these rebar templates.

Next: Save beams
