In the following picture, we have separated the TBT interface into smaller windows. Below, you can find the explanation for each one of them.

1. Key Functions for transferring elements to IMPACT; The 3 first represent the procedure that we need to follow in order to bring the elements to the IMPACT database. Linking, Mapping and Saving (in that order) are the 3 steps that we will always need to follow to bring elements from Tekla into the IMPACT database.

First, Linking the elements into TBT, then Mapping the elements to IMPACT definitions and finally Saving the elements into the IMPACT database. The Update button can be used for the elements that are already saved in IMPACT and have been submitted to changes. The Settings button opens up the settings window, which will be explained in a later chapter.

2. Project Browser; This represents the buildings and floors of your Project, coming directly from the IMPACT PM. If you want to edit them, then you will need to edit the buildings and floors from PM (as described in a previous chapter) and then restart your Tekla Base tools.

3. Element Properties; Here we can see the properties from Tekla and how they are translated in IMPACT. Theoretically, there should not be any deviations between the 2 columns, after the elements are saved in the IMPACT database.

4. Main Element Grid; The window where we can see, select and filter out elements and their corresponding element marks and properties. The window will first be filled out after we start linking the first elements from Tekla in TBT.

5. Message Log; The place to look for errors or confirmation messages while saving elements in IMPACT.

6. Project Info; Ensures that the right Tekla project file is connected to the correct IMPACT Project in PM.
