Project Mapping

  • While the Tekla Structures is open, please find Tekla base tools 17.1 from your Windows toolbar and press it to open. Remember that if you are using Tekla Structures 2024 or above then please find the corresponding Tekla Base tools 2024 17.1 and press it to open.

  • The software will prompt the following question. You need to press OK.

  • Select the Project that we just created in PM (it should be the one selected automatically, as the last opened project) and press OK

  • Now the Tekla Base tools software is open and should look like the following picture. In the following chapter, we will explain the main layouts of TBT.

IMPORTANT Note: If you open your Tekla model folder, then you might notice that a new file called "IMPACT" has been created. You should never delete, edit or remove this file, as it represents the live connection between IMPACT and Tekla. If you delete the file all the mapping progress in Tekla Base tools will be lost (but not the saved elements in the database).
