IMPACT For CAD - Beginners Course
This is an extended course of IMPACT for CAD in version 17.1 (and Reinforcement in version 14), where most features and workflows are explained in detail. It is mandatory to have AutoCAD 2022 or newer or BricsCAD v22 or newer, preinstalled on your computer. The course is carried out using a Sample Project, which will be provided in the training under the corresponding chapter. It is also recommended to be connected to IMPACT's cloud trial and training database (details will be given out to all participants by the course leader, or by email for those of you who are utilizing our free trial). For those who are using their own IMPACT environment, they should use a basic IMPACT design Standard connected to the IMPACT Standard Admin.
This course does not require any prior knowledge of IMPACT Design, but it will be a plus to have knowledge of CAD systems (the course is made for people who are already drafting precast elements).
In the training material, there are many "Notes" and "IMPORTANT Notes" that are used to emphasise tips and tricks that will be useful during the training. The first IMPORTANT Note can be found below.
IMPORTANT Note: This training uses both Text and Pictures to explain all the functions and features of IMPACT Design for CAD. The pictures are equally important to the text, as they show exactly where the buttons are placed in IMPACT Design. AutoCAD Architecture 2024 alongside IMPACT Design for AutoCAD 2024 17.1 and IMPACT Reinforcement 14 are being used throughout the whole training project.
