Initial Handling

Check if the connection to the Server Connect is active and then open the Project Manager (PM)

The Project Manager will only allow you to open projects and not create anything new the first time you open it. That is because the modules are not activated.

Activate Modules

Press the back button, find the modules on top of your screen, and then activate the Project Manager Module. Press the 3-line button and you will see that all the functions on the start side of PM are activated.

Note: The start page of the Project Manager can also be used to find useful information about our software, such as new release notes, future webinars and nice articles on how IMPACT is used in real-life projects.

A dialog box will pop up and the only thing that it is necessary to fill out, is the Project Number. The Project number can only be 12 characters and from special characters, only the underscore (_) can be used. Fill out the name by writing your name and then underscore (_) and 01. In my case, it should be THOMAS_01.

Note: The project number is not editable, so please make sure that it matches the number of the project in your finance system!

Note: There are many open fields in the “create new project” dialogue box that you can fill out; from the title of the project to the address of it. Explore the general tab and the addresses tab for future reference.

Project Dependencies

Except for the Project number, we will fill out the Project dependencies. Please activate the dependencies as shown in the following picture and fill out the date difference that you want to move from each phase and backwards.

Fill out the dependencies as shown below under the "Planning" tab and press OK!

Note: Try and make different dependency dates for different element types

Note: The dates that you are filling out are only working dates, therefore a week is considered 5 days (if you have selected to have Saturday and Sunday free in the settings).

Note: If you want the dependencies to take place, then after you press OK, you will need to restart the PM.
