How to create new reinforcement schedule
Design of the reinforcement schedule
Creating a reinforcement schedule starts with creating the outline of the desired schedule.
This is how I want my reinforcement schedule to look like, drawn in 1:1, and the top right corner should be placed in the 0,0 point.
The green text is the header and I have added a text to the first line of where I want to have my data displayed.
The text should then be modified to the correct settings so it will display the correct values.
NOTE: the text can not be MTEXT, if the text is MTEXT you can not assign the correct data to the text.
Redesign of other reinforcement schedules
If there are some different schedules already in your system and you want to utilize the design with some modifications you can do that.
We have a button called Insert template block, that takes all of the blocks and inserts them into the drawing
Press that button and select where you want to insert the template blocks
Note that all of the blocks will be added to the drawing in 1:1 scale and therefore it will be really small
here are all of mine in one place
From there I can pick the format I like and modify it to my needs.
For the fields that are multiplied downwards delete all of them except the top row and you have the table similar to mine at the top of this article.
If you want to change the font type, select the text and change in properties.
Creating the schedule
Now it is time to add what data I want to be associated with each field.
To associate what data is to be displayed in the field press Define template data button
Then select what text you want to define, for me it BarMark.
Under For I select Bar and under Key, I select barmark, Row is set to 1 and No fo chars are set to 7, meaning that this field can display barmarks up to 7 characters, there are no Decimals in this case.
Note: Row 1 is the first row in this schedule, if you edit the last text after you have copied you will see that in that case row will say 14.
We have several categories under "For:" and there are a lot of "Keys" under each "For:" category.
Next, we press Copy because we want to have 14 rows in this schedule.
First type 14 for the number of rows.
Then you have to define the space of each row, you can either type the height of the row or use the pointer from top to bottom
in my case, it is 11 mm, if I select points from bottom to top the program will copy the text upwards instead of downwards.
Now my schedule looks like this
Now it is just the question of doing the same for the rest of the fields.
Here is my setup for each of the other fields.
Type:
Size:
Length:
Total no of bars:
Total length:
Shape code:
Picture:
for the picture there are a few more steps to take, we need to define the area
and then you can press the display area to see where it is placed
then you press copy to fill in the column as I have done for the other columns.
Note that the text Picture is the placeholder for the picture that will be inserted into the schedule.
Now we have a full schedule and we are ready to create the template block.
After pressing Make Template block you have to give it a name, in my case, i will call it "Bar14"
Then you have to select the whole schedule and press enter and set insert point, and we want the insert point to be 0,0
Now we define the schedule and assign the correct template block that we just created.
Press Schedules... and create a new one, give it a name and press ok and then press Edit.
Select the Schedule tab and define what this schedule is for and select the block that you just created.
Press ok and ok again and now you have the reinforcement schedule in this specific drawing.
If you want to add this schedule to a base file or into a specific drawing you can press Schedules again and then press Export/import
Browse to the specific drawing that you want to use this schedule in, either a specific drawing or a specific base file fx BL file in impact.
Select the drawing and then select the schedule and press export.
When that is done you can press ok, and ok again and you can use the reinforcement schedule.
Note that the drawing has to be closet to be able to import into it.
