Dimension Tag Default setting usage

The new Dimension Tag Default setting is developed for cast-in materials that are dimensioned only in the X-or Y-axis.

Most cast-in materials are dimensioned both in the X and Y axes, as shown in the screenshot below with dimension lines 1 and 3. In this case, the user might want to have information about the CIM only in the horizontal dimension line. The vertical dimension shows only the dimension line number as is the case with dimension line 3.

There are though cast-in materials that are dimensioned only in the X-or Y-axis, like the bracings in the element below. Refer to dimension line 2. In this case, the new Dimension Tag Default setting is used to ensure that the user always has information on the cast in the material only dimension line.

Dimension Tag Default setting in the Shop drawing template

Dimension Tag Default setting can be found in the Shop Drawing Template.

The user needs to open the Shop Drawing Template and select a drawing view and a cast-in material dimension line. On the right side, the Dimension Tag Default settings will appear. As the setting is used for cast in materials dimensioned only in the X-or Y axis, the user might want to select ´´Dim line Head with CIM number´´ in the falling menu, as shown below.
