BRACEEDGEDISTANCE
If bracings are spawned inside openings, they are moved to the closest opening edge + a set distance. This distance is per default 150 mm. It can be changed using the BRACEEDGEDISTANCE variable.
BRACECOLUMNWIDTH
If the distance between the opening and the element edge is lower than BRACECOLUMNWIDTH (default value is 1000 mm), then the brace will be placed in the middle between the opening and the edge.
Example
In the image below I've set BRACEEDGEDISTANCE to 100 mm and BRACECOLUMNWIDTH to 500. Notice how the bracing is placed close to the edge.
