Many of the new features and bug fixes in a new release depend on WebAPI and Security Server. Therefore, it is important to update these services. The easiest way to do this is to use IMPACT Server Configuration Tool. This tool contains the new versions, but they must be manually deployed in order to be updated. This article describes how to do it.

First thing is to look for available updates of the tool IMPACT Service Configuration in StruSoft installer. The exclamation mark above the StruSoft installer icon indicates that there is an updated available, as shown in the image below.

Double Click on the StruSoft installer icon to open up the application, go to the tab IMPACT and filter on 15 Server in the drop-down menu. If an update is available it will be shown on the list that is presented. Click the update button to automatically install the new version.

After the update of the tool, it is time to deploy the latest version of Security Server and WebAPI on the server. This is done in the application. An easy way to start the Service Configuration tool is to search for the application in windows.

All information about the current connection to the server is displayed in the tool. Important information to note is the bold text under Security Server and WebAPI. In this example, it indicates that the latest versions do not match the installed versions - an update exists. To install the latest, you must check both check boxes, and then press Deploy.

When done, installed versions should match the latest available. The server has been successfully updated if it does. You can then close Service Configuration Tool.
