Placement with: The insertion point of the Barmark - Start point, Middle point and End point.

Cover Offset: The cover offset of the Barmark.

How it works

In order to use the function 'Insert Barmark' and show the list of Barmarks, it is necessary that the Barmark definitions are created on Common, Local or Project Level.

Like any other definition in IMPACT Revit, when inserting a Barmark from Common or Local level, it will automatically be imported and found in the Project Level.

Once the command 'Insert Barmark' is started, user is guided with the steps of the insertion process of the Barmark. The steps are displayed in the bottom left of IMPACT Revit.

When inserting a Barmark, user needs to select the work plane (face) where the Barmark should be inserted. Once the work plane is selected, the Barmark will always be inserted parallel to the work plane.

The insertion process of the Barmark doesn't automatically terminate unless the user cancels it by pressing the 'ESC' button. This is because the user have the possibility to insert the same Barmark in different places on element on the same work plane.

The Barmak will always be inserted with the layout set as 'Single' and it can be changed afterwards.

There is also possibility to rotate the Barmark after insertion. This is done with pure Revit command named 'Rotate' (RO).

Once the Barmark is inserted in an element, the definition name will automatically be assigned to the parameter 'IMPACT Bar mark' which can be checked in the rebar properties.
