Installation of a client computer
This article shows how to set up and install IMPACT on a client computer.
The IMPACT applications are installed thorugh an application called StruSoft installer - The StruSoft installer can be downloaded from http://download.strusoft.com/ssin.html. Download the StruSoft installer and install the application (Be patient it can take some time).

After the installation, open the StruSoft installer and go to the Licensing & Settings tab. Depending on the license type are there different ways to add the license to the client computer.
Single license
To add a single license to the computer click on Activate Licenses... and paste the license code into Activation code.

Finish with OK and the client computer now have an active license.
Network license
With the license is a network license is it necessary to make the StruSoft installer "look" the correct place. This is done under Manage License Sources... (1) where the Name or IP (3) of the license server needs to be added (2).

After the license is activated is it time to create a connection between the client computer and the IMPACT database. This is done with IMPACT Server connect - The application can be found under the IMPACT tab.

After the installation open the Server connect and click Edit

In the New configuration is it necessary to fill in all the fields to get IMPACT to work correctly.

1) The Name of the configuration.
2) The information to the Security server URL can be found in the service configuration tool on the server. The information in the field contains the server name (Localhost), the port IMPACT uses (81) and the IIS Web Application Name (ImpactOpenIdServer15).
3) The information to the Web API server URL can be found in the service configuration tool on the server. The information in the field contains the server name (Localhost), the port IMPACT uses (81) and the IIS Web Application Name (ImpactWebApi15).
4) The Secret can be found in the server configuration tool on the server under Desktop Secret.
5) Under Folders is it necessary to map the IMPACT folders so IMPACT knows where to look for the files and place the projects.
6) It's necessary to set what AutoCAD version IMPACT should use - That is done under Program.
Finish with OK and test the connection.
1) The Security and Web API server status should be OK and that indicates a connection to the IMPACT Database.
2) When the connection is established then connect with the IMPACT user. (If no IMPACT user have been created - see this link on how to create an IMPACT User)
When the login is successful, install the remaining applications according to what is need.
Desing applications:
- AutoCAD, BricsCAD or Revit
- Project Manager
- Reinforcement (Only if AutoCAD or BricsCAD is used)
- Report Tool
- Standard Admin (If the User on the Client Computer is the IMPACT responsible in the company)
- User Admin (If the User on the Client Computer is the IMPACT responsible in the company)
Production applications:
- Project Manager
- Resource Manager
- Cost Estimation (If Cost calculations should be used)
- Tekla Base Tools (If Tekla is used for design)
