Resource Manager Settings

Please open the Resource Manager and find the settings tab. In the settings tab there are some general production settings that you can manipulate.

In this chapter, we will explain the status settings and how to create new statuses.

If you find the status option, then it should be empty for you and you will need to create all the statuses from scratch.

This is an important customization for every company,as those statuses will represent the production/delivery process specifically in your company.

Every status that has a status type included, means that the status will change when performing an action in the software.

The proposed statuses are as follows:

You can decide what number to attach to every status. The proposed statuses are the ones that are connected to a Status Type.

There might be many steps in between for your company, and you can still create them, by selecting to have a “No status type”. That will mean that you will need to set this status manually. This is something we want to avoid usually and we propose to add statuses like that only and when it is necessary. An example can be shown below:

Note: Changing status automatically means that when adding an element to your production calendar (fine planning), the status will automatically change to 30 "Planned for production" as well as the colour on the model view. The above goes for all the other status types that will also be explained during the fine planning process.

If you are under a trial period using the IMPACT trial database, then please move to the next chapter here.

If you are a new customer and you are your company’s production administrator, then follow the next step here.
