Storage

Introduction

In order to set our precast elements on a storage location, you will first need to create "Storage Locations" (reasons for non-conformance) in IMPACT. For the purpose of this training, some basic Styorage Locations have already been created in the database.

If you are a Production Admin and would like to know how to create a new "Storage Location" in IMPACT then follow this link.

If you are following the training material then please continue on this page.

Assign a storage location in IMPACT GO

Select a table where the elements are produced and print out the element labels.

Scan the element labels of the elements and add them to the mobile app.

Select one or all the elements at the same time and then press the location button.

Assign the elements to one of the multiple storage locations, i.ex. storage05 (Press the storage Location and then STORE).

The element has now changed to status 50 (On storage). That can also be seen on the Model View in PM.

Note: If your elements are not produced and you assign them a storage location then the status will not change to 50. That is because the software has not registered that the elements are produced.

IMPORTANT Note: The status chain follows the real-life chain which means that non-produced elements will not change status unless they are set to produced in the software (by setting the cast status to produced).

Get an overview of your Storage in RM

All storage locations for produced elements can be shown under the Storage tab in RM. That is also the only other place in the software (apart from IMPACT GO) where you can set storage locations for produced elements.

The only filter that you need to use is the storage date and then press "Refresh Data"

The Storage Date will show you all the elements that have been produced (in the selected factory) until the selected date and have not been delivered yet (either with or without an assigned storage location).

In the picture above you can select a few elements, then right-click and assign a Storage Location!
