Set up basic controls in RM

General about Controls

If you are a production admin and would like to know how to create new controls in RM then follow the steps below:

Open RM settings and select Element Control

Create a new control on the right side and give it a name, a description, a status type and assign it to an element type.

It is very important to select the correct status type for your control as it is connected to a real status change, which means that the control will affect the element status when finished.

IMPACT has 3 status types.

Planned and Approved: It is the intermediate control that can include all the processes that take place before we pour concrete on the mould.

Produced and Approved: Includes all the processes that are taking place after the concrete is poured.

No status: This can be any intermediate QC that happens at any time during the production/storage/transportation of the element and does not affect the status of the element.

If you create the controls for your Wall elements (as shown below), then you can open the tree view of the element control, find the one that you just created and go into the following window.

This is where you can create your Simple and Measurement Checks.

Simple checks are just a normal checklist of things to do during the production process.

Measurement Checks are the checks that take into consideration the main properties of the element.

Note: In more advanced situations you can add PDF files and images that visualise the checklist on paper.

When the controls are finished for walls, you can go back to the main view, copy them and select a new element type (like sandwich walls), so you do not have to do them from scratch. Then you can go back to the specific control and adjust whatever is necessary.

IMPORTANT Note: It is ok to have many controls per element type, and also a few extra controls for specific elements of this type, such as architectural walls. In a situation like that, you do not need to create more control checklists for those elements. Add all the possible controls under the main control and then you will get the option to perform the control or not perform the control if not relevant to this specific element. This is something that we do with the method of triple-clicking on the control when performing it.

1-click: Check.

2-click: Not relevant + Remark (Not applicable)

3-click: Unmarked again.
