Import IFC
Import IFC allows the user to get an IFC Model from AllPlan imported into IMPACT. This means that when a model is designed in AllPlan is it possible to use IMPACT Production to handle the production process.
The Import IFC can be found under the Import tab in the project manager.
For now is it possible to map the following IMPACT Attributes to an AllPLAN attribute.
- Element Mark
- Length
- Width
- Height
If the IMPACT attributes are not mapped with an AllPLAN attribute will the IMPACT attribute be mapped with the IFC attribute in the following way:
- Elemnet Mark -> Name attribute in the IFC File
- Length -> Length attribute in the IFC File
- Width -> Width attribute in the IFC File
- Height -> Height attribute in the IFC File
Handling Attributes with No Values:
- If users haven't linked an attribute to the element mark, the import will first check the 'Name' attribute. If it lacks a value, it will automatically assign element mark(s).
- In cases where users have associated the element mark with an attribute, but that attribute has no value, the import will prompt the user for their preference. They can choose to skip importing those elements if desired.
Element mark: If users have assigned the same element mark to elements with different geometries, will the import cross-reference the element mark and the IFC geometry. If they differ, we will append '_1' or a similar identifier to the element mark, ensuring consistency, and save it to the database.
When Importing the IFC to IMPACT is it important that the Geometry is exported as "Extruded Geometry" as the IFC Import only supports this type of geometry.
If the geometry representation isn't "Extruded Geometry" will the elements not be imported, if this is the case will it be shown in the "Import Complete" dialog and as a log.
When the elements are imported is it possible to plan the elements like it was elements created in IMPACT Design.
